my seriously funny kid!

You ask anyone about Brayden and they will surely describe at some point how funny he is. He is quirky, charming, and quick on his feet. I'd like to say he takes after me ;) I was thinking about all the stuff this week he's done to make me laugh and I really want to remember it because it such a huge part of who he is! So funny updates on my boy will regularly appear :)

This week Makenna asked Brayden before school, "Brayden do you like yourself?" Brayden replies "Of course I do, what's not to like???" :) Brayden also each and every morning at the breakfast table talks in a Australian accent! Yep every morning! I may have to post a video of this because you can't possibly see the humor otherwise! I awake to, "Well good morning there mommy, how are you today mate?" It's a good mix of Australian and an English accent lol. Oh this boy brightens my days and lightens my heart!

I tried starting a blog just about these cute kids but lets be realistic! My Tues and Thurs have been filled with these sweet smiles since Sept and now it's coming to an end. I have to say that this time with my daughter has been priceless. And teaching these young lives about Jesus is truly wonderful! It's been worth the days of the fighting, arguing, and the fact that I've been sick most of the year ;) They truly are an amazing group of kiddos and I count myself blessed!

Ben's hit and one extremely loud mom!

So this video should come with a warning label! You don't realize how much you talk, how loud your laugh is, or how loudly you cheer until these moments! So consider yourself warned ;)

A boy, his dog, and his fire...

So this year with Ben being home with me has offered me some amazing moments as a mom and a teacher. This day Ben asked if at his quiet reading time he could make a fire on his own and read by the fire. Mom's only rule is you have to start it the good old fashion way no lighter fluid! So I checked in every few moments through the window but I wanted him to have his victorious man vs wild moment! And he surely did :) I found him with his dog, his book, and his fire....sounds like a good day at school to me!

Spring Break!!

We had the most amazing spring break! Here is an overview of how we kept ourselves busy!

Haylee and Makenna's first big girl sleepover!

The boys got to do this wonderful baseball camp for a week from 9am to 3pm. It was led by the high school coaches and players. It was for 10-13 yr olds and Brayden got ok'd to play with them!
So now is when I get to brag a little! So Brayden got MVP of the camp!! Out of all the kids he was picked! He played amazing! And the coaches couldn't believe he was only 7! He got a special shirt out of the deal that he will be able to fit into sometime maybe in high school ;)

Ben was picked for the allstar game! The coaches called him "clutch" which I think fits him perfectly! He's an amazing player and like we told him after some hurt feelings about the MVP, Brayden is good because you are great!

He rolls with the best of them and I'm so proud to be his mom!
