Daddy's little girl

I first of all just love this picture so I had to share it with everyone. I love the way Makenna loves her daddy but what I love even more is the way Brandon loves his little girl. They have a bond that is priceless and I hope this picture captures that.

Just singing in the rain....

Nothing better than jumping in puddles after in has been raining for 7 days straight!! Yep that is living in the Northwest for ya!! ;)

Brayden and Makenna are starting to really play together now. Where he doesn't get put out by having to "watch" her but is actually asking to play with her. I love how my kids interact with each other and love each other. These pictures will always remind me of that. I'm sure I'll have to look back at these pictures here shortly when I'm ripping my hair out because of how much they are fighting. But for today I'll just pretend this is how they always are with each other! And Makenna is once again sporting her green gum, go figure!

Butchart Gardens

What an amazing place out in Victoria. All the flower were in bloom and it truly was amazing. We will definately go back, it was well worth the trip! What the boys will remember about the trip is the garden snake they found, such boys!

Oh Canada

So we headed across the boarder this time with birth certificates, for those of you who don't know that story it is a good one! We caught a ferry and headed to Victoria. It was a beautiful city with incredible buildings and harbors. The kids got right into the Canadian spirit as you can see!! (For those of you that can't make out the picture the kids are sporting a joker type Canada hat with jingle bells on the ends. A must have for every tourist)

Uncle Scott

Well it took about 5 minutes from the time Scott got here for my boys to start wearing their hats backwards and only tucking in half their shirt in the front. My boys love Scott and pretty much want to do whatever he does. They now love tennis but prior to the visit had no clue that it was even considered a sport. They would fight to be the one who got to wake Scott in the mornings, he LOVED this!!! :))) Makenna played hard to get this trip and was either all over Scott or not giving him the time of day, I'm sure he is used to this from girls :) He was wonderful with them and it is no wonder they want to be just like him!

Uncle Nate

Nate is now 15 and my boys live to play with him. During their trip here to visit he was a real trooper in keeping up with my boys demands. He jumped on the tramp more than he probably has in years, he even got me to join in! Makenna warmed up to him right away and she wanted to be held most of the time by him! He is a great uncle and I feel my kids are truly blessed.

VBS

Vaction Bible School was so much fun this year! Probably because I didn't volunteer to help this year ;) The boys had such a great time and met lots of friends. I have to say nothing touches me more as a mom than my kids learning about and worshipping our Lord. They had a great time and can't wait until next year!

Mariners vs Tigers

My mom and brothers came into town and what better to hit than a ballgame??? Jessa and her boyfriend Colin joined us for the evening as well. It was great to have all of us together! My boys are obsessed with the Mariners so they were beyond excited when they saw how close our seats were! The game also involved thier first experience with cotton candy! It would be a safe bet that it was the highlight for Brayden :) The boys were completely thrilled with the wave and would've continued to do it for the entire game :) The 9th inning was the best we were on our feet the entire time. End result Mariners won 3-2.....Go Mariners!!!!

My big girl!

That's right we are officially potty training!! And boy have I been reminded of how much I dislike this area of parenting!! She is doing so well though :) I took her to pick out her big girl undies and she picked Elmo (of course), My Little Ponies, and Curious George (she has a thing for monkeys right now what can I say!). Her biggest dilemma of the day is picking only one pair of big girl pants to wear. Because of the trauma this type of decision makes she usually ends up with two pairs on at the same time! Can't wait when she starts dressing herself and can't decide which shirt to wear!!!

And the birthday goes on....

We went out to dinner on Thursday to celebrate Ben's birthday one last time! He has this place that he loves to eat and he got a coupon for a free meal the week of his birthday. They sang to him and the whole bit! On the way out to the car Brandon and I both gave Ben a hug and told him Happy Birthday. Brayden pipes in Happy Birthday Ben but we are SO done celebrating your birthday! His timing is perfect and he has such a great sense of humor :)
