11months...so far behind!

Im 7 months behind...sounds about right! Life is getting busier and busier as these sweet girls get more and more active!

Catch up...so very sick!

So in my 10 month post I said the girls got a terrible case of hand foot and mouth. Where it spread over legs, bottom, feet, face, mouth...it was horrid. Ive never had babies this sick, let alone two at the same time! Here is a pic of the back of Avery's leg and Lex's mouth day one. An event I dont want to ever repeat!! Thank you Jesus for healthy babies!

10 months...please slow down!

There is movement!! Yep thats right alexa is finally crawling! Not just army crawling but up and doing it as well as avery. She just wanted to wait and watch avery work out all the crawling glitches!
*avery weighs 16.6 pds
*alexa weighs 15.15 pds
*avery is going up stairs successfully
*both girls do 'so big'
*both girls are eating most table foods.
*Avery is my messy eater. I can always tell which car seat is hers.
*avery is pulling up on everything and walking along the coffee table and couch
*alexa scootches herself on her bum for short distance travels lol
*avery slept for her first 6 hr stretch!
little did I know that was the beginning of the end. The following day...fever, then rash, then blisters over all extremities, pulling all nighters, screaming, not eating, and then repeat with baby number two! A VERY long 8 days with an extreme case of hand, foot, and mouth disease!

Baseball beauties...

Just a snap shot of how much all my girls love baseball! Although this is much better than the ones of them screaming :) they really are troopers!

9 months!

*Avery is crawling and pulling up onn everything!
*avery can go from a crawl to a sit and back to crawling
*alexa gets up and rocks back and forth. The only thing worth moving for is food. So I line cheerios up and she will scoot and stretch for them lol
*avery likes to explore her world where alexa likes to explore her voice
*both girls can give kisses!
*alexa likes to 'dance' to music
*avery loves to stand up over and over in her crib at bed time to make alexa laugh!
*alexa loves to eat big girl food where avery would rather have a bottle to go
*alexa waves 'bye bye'
*avery can now crawl over to me crying to get me to pick her up
*avery cut her top two teeth
*avery steals everything from her sister!
*alexa can clap!
*avery shakes her head no and thinks its hilarious!
*alexa has signed the word 'more' 2 times.
*avery pants loud and fast to get us to laugh at her, usually while shaking her head vigorously 'no'

It's that time again...

Baseball season oh how I love you! My favorite time of the year although this season looks different than last! I can get out of my chair by myself for starters! And I now have two more girls who dont enjoy quite as much as I do.The picture below is at the first game. I think thrilled is an understatement!

8 months...

I dont seem to have time to blog much more than monthly updates on the girls. And the only reason I do that is that I hope to print these out for a baby book of some sorts. Some day ill have time to blog about all the other wonderful things are lives consist of right now but for now another update on these wonderful girls!
~ avery is fully mobile! Crawling everywhere and getting into everything!
~ alexa is not lol. She watches her sis and realizes how much work it is and goes back to whatever she was chewing on!
~lex is becoming frustrated because she is getting bored of just sitting. Well that and her sister crawls up and steals all her toys, equally as frustrating!
~ avery is finally becoming more vocal. She likes to take her fists and pat her mouth to make noises too.
~ they are eating small finger foods like peas, corn, and baby puffs. Their food time is about my only break time. Give them stuff to pick up and eat and I have 30 min to clean the kitchen! They love to eat!
~ I can hid a toy under something and they will find it
~ avery loves smiling at strangers and alexa's lip curls and tears well up in her eyes. Totally opposite in this area
~ I get called out of church service now because avery won't stop crying until she sees momma, endearing now but I know not so much later on
~ and well... sleep...not a victory yet but I remain hopeful lol
~ I keep forgetting to post about the boys with the girls. My boys have declared who their 'ninja' is for months now. Alexa is Brayden's ninja and Avery is Ben's. Its a very cute thing that is just between them. Asking how their ninja is or asking to hold their ninja. Daily battles between the ninjas occur as the boys move their arms and legs in jedi fashion, hilarious!

7 months...a little late

Now that we are at 8 months today I figured I better do a quick update on our last month!
~ girls are both sitting up with ease
~ avery loves her daddy and alexa adores her momma!
~ avery is BUSY....so so busy! Just wants to explore and is army crawling to achieve her missions. She likes pine needles, pieces of dog hair, regular hair, lint, and cell phones as her toys of choice!
~ they are eating fruits and veggies 2 to 3 times a day.
~ they both think their siblings are amazing. No one can get them to laugh like they can
~we are sitting up in grocery carts which with twins is a bigger deal than you may think! It means I can go shopping without a stroller AND a cart in tow!
~ still not sleeping through the night in case any ones counting!
~ alexa is super vocal. Lots of 'dada' and one 'mama' but I got so excited that I scared her and she may now never say mommy lol
~ avery is quieter but its probably because she always has something in her mouth!
~lex got her two bottom teeth!
~ alexa talks to her sis and avery just laughs! Hands down my favorite thing!
~ avery still loves her feet and alexa still has no idea they exist!
~ avery weighs 14.9 and alexa 14.5
~ and finally they are growing hair!! Alexas stands straight up and Averys grows straight forward.
These girls make my heart complete! I adore each moment even the difficult ones! They've both been sick for 3 weeks and both want mommy. Its proved to be difficult and tiring but oh so rewarding that I have 2 babies needing and wanting their momma!

6 months old!

Im not even sure how its possible! But here we are. How can the much awaited gifts already be 6 months old?
What they are up to....
~they are both creeping up on 14 pounds (I'll have to put the exact amount once we go to the doctor)
~ eating rice cereal and this week started green beans! Alexa loves it and avery still gags after a whole 7 days of them.
~ they both think their big sissy is the funniest thing ever. She gets some serious belly laughs from them!
~avery has been the fussy one lately. I'm just thankful they take turns.
~avery loves our glasses of water! Kicks and flails when she sees one within reach!
~ alexa thinks any type of eating or drinking involves her tongue somehow. So she licks food out of her spoon rather than opening her mouth
~ still not sitting up or really moving. After 5 kids I now dont rush that part! That's when the real work begins!
~ they still think sleep is overrated. But my mom did watch them this weekend and I got my first sleeping through the night experience in over a year! I cant thank her enough for this gift!
Included the picture of them in their car seats because I never want to forget that view when I open my trunk to get the stroller each day! Im one blessed mommy!

My little nuggets are 5 months old!

5 months??? Is it even possible? At 12am, 2am, 4am, and awake for the morning at 6 it seems like much longer! But in our normal day to day its going far too quickly!
A brief summery of where the girls are at this month.
~Alexa weighs 12.1 pounds and Avery 12.9. My little girl is catching up! Alexa is still quite a bit shorter so shes sporting some adorable rolls!
~ they are sleeping worse than our newborn days. Waking every 2 hours despite many efforts and techniques!
~ they are rolling back to belly. And belly to back. Avery rolls all over the place. Alexa on the other hand sees no need to see the world from a different angle :)
~Avery got her first tooth over Christmas. My mild and mellow child was anything but those things!
~ they are grabbing everything! The cutest has to be them reaching for each others hands and then they battle to get the others hand in their mouth, so fun!
~ they are wearing 3 to 6 month clothing and size 1 diapers.
~Alexa now blows raspberries. Constantly drenched with silva :)
~Avery is still drenched 99% of the time in spit up. She is still projectile vomiting putting her below the 3rd percent in weight! But she's a happy spitter lol
~ right now Alexa is quite a mommas girl. She cries when she can't see me or sees me holding Avery.
~ they got some blankets for Christmas that they can't sleep without
~Avery is still easy going and full of smiles, brief set back with her teeth! She smiles with her entire face! Alexa is still stubborn as ever. But makes up with it with her looks lol.
They are hands down the best gifts ever! I adore each moment with them. I wish life would slow down so I could soak them in more. With homeschooling its hard to not feel rushed as I enjoy time with them. Something I'm working on :)
