my preschoolers

I tried starting a blog just about these cute kids but lets be realistic! My Tues and Thurs have been filled with these sweet smiles since Sept and now it's coming to an end. I have to say that this time with my daughter has been priceless. And teaching these young lives about Jesus is truly wonderful! It's been worth the days of the fighting, arguing, and the fact that I've been sick most of the year ;) They truly are an amazing group of kiddos and I count myself blessed!

My favorite picture of our entire school year!

They LOVE park days!
Jenna, Sam, Jack, and Makenna...thanks for letting me be your teacher :)

Ben's hit and one extremely loud mom!

So this video should come with a warning label! You don't realize how much you talk, how loud your laugh is, or how loudly you cheer until these moments! So consider yourself warned ;)

A boy, his dog, and his fire...

So this year with Ben being home with me has offered me some amazing moments as a mom and a teacher. This day Ben asked if at his quiet reading time he could make a fire on his own and read by the fire. Mom's only rule is you have to start it the good old fashion way no lighter fluid! So I checked in every few moments through the window but I wanted him to have his victorious man vs wild moment! And he surely did :) I found him with his dog, his book, and his fire....sounds like a good day at school to me!

Spring Break!!

We had the most amazing spring break! Here is an overview of how we kept ourselves busy!

Haylee and Makenna's first big girl sleepover!

Inside the tent :) They were so cute giggling and laughing. I wish I could've snuck in and recorded their "girl talk"... precious :)

What sleepover isn't complete without a little make over???

The boys got to do this wonderful baseball camp for a week from 9am to 3pm. It was led by the high school coaches and players. It was for 10-13 yr olds and Brayden got ok'd to play with them!
So now is when I get to brag a little! So Brayden got MVP of the camp!! Out of all the kids he was picked! He played amazing! And the coaches couldn't believe he was only 7! He got a special shirt out of the deal that he will be able to fit into sometime maybe in high school ;)

Ben was picked for the allstar game! The coaches called him "clutch" which I think fits him perfectly! He's an amazing player and like we told him after some hurt feelings about the MVP, Brayden is good because you are great!

He rolls with the best of them and I'm so proud to be his mom!

Spent time at dad's work getting the cars ready for the pine wood derby race!
Did I mention it's all about baseball 90% of the time? This is at the ocean playing a little catch!

At the ocean...one of my favorite spots minus the wind :)

Our first night of smores! The best kind of family time is always spent around the fire!

Me and my boy!

Mmmmmm.....spring break just got me ready to enjoy summer!

where to begin...

So here we are 2 years later! Seriously how does one even pick where to begin? I want so desperately to have all these memories and kick myself that I haven't kept up on this! But I spun the wheel and decided Easter would be a good place to start...

Brayden writing on his 'sin' rock. A fun little tradition I started this year. You write some of your own personal struggles or sins that you know Jesus died for on a rock.....

then throw the rock into the lake as a symbol of Jesus washing our sins away and making us clean. And just like we can't go find our rock once we throw it into the water, Jesus cannot find our sin once we ask Him into our hearts.

Makenna with her rock, she makes props look so cute :)

This year we celebrated Easter with the Georgen family. So this is after the egg hunt in the forest. Brandon just threw eggs amongst the vast forest and sent the kids on their way! They stayed until every one was found!

One cute little egg hunter!

You can tell Ben is digging the photo opt can't you?

Brayden and his best bud Kobey! They are such sweet boys!

Ben and his Bay. These two do nothing but laugh! I love watching their friendship grow!

Summer Lovin'

So this is just the month of July rolled into one blog! I'll never get caught up if I don't do it this way!!

This is one of our favorite beaches down at the lake by our house. The only one with a sandy beach which is great for the kiddos! I love this picture of them :)

We stopped one day at this hot dog stand called Neiner, Neiner, Weiner. I think it's hilarious so I had to take a picture of the joint!

This is when the boys became member of the "Weiner club" thus the stickers on the hands. If you don't know my boys personalities very well this picture sums them both up!!

Nothing like lazy days in the sun! Not a regular occurance here in Washington!!

I took this one day when I had one of those mom moments where I just couldn't wrap my mind around where all the time has gone!! She is getting so grown up and looked so OLD! I just wanted to take a picture so I never take for granted how quickly these days go by!

Her hat from Aunt Shannon! Only Makenna could look so cute in a purple hat!!

This is down at the marina right by our house. The boys love swimming here!

My cute Makenna!

Brayden trying to stay warm!

Nothing like a good game of touch football down at the lake!

Boys baseball season...

The boys played baseball together this year on the same team! Which was a first, it was SO great! Nothing gives me greater joy than to watch them play! And Brandon coached as well and to see him taking time and investing it into his boys makes my heart overwhelmed!

Brandon giving Brayden a pep talk while he is on deck :)

Brayden did such a great job this season. He was able to play up so the entire team was 9 and 10 year olds and then my cute 5 year old Brayden was out there showing them ALL up! He actually played 1st base! And his batting was amazing! He definitely made us all proud!

He actually only struck out once the entire season!

Proud to say this is the swing that emptied the bases and got Ben a triple! That a boy!!

Ben had a great season as well and played his usual short stop and pitcher. He really is just excelling and improving each year. He has real focus and just a natural ability. The best part is he has such a love for the game! Great season boys! Come spring we'll do it all over again :)
